Hi, we are C Hughes Contractors, a construction and development company owned and operated by two brothers, Clayton and Christian Hughes. We understand every home is unique to those who live within its walls, and we are ready to partner with our clients at every step of the custom home process. Our curated network of craftsmen uphold the finest quality of work and our company’s Spanish fluency ensures seamless communication. We believe with a proper plan, projects should be completed efficiently, on budget, and with a meticulous attention to detail. As a small business, we as company owners maintain a direct line of communication with our customers throughout the project to ensure no detail is missed.

Meet the Builder

Clayton started his career as a carpenter and climbed the ranks before getting his license and starting the business. He cut his teeth in construction working on high-end custom houses and restoring historic houses in both Washington, DC and Charleston, SC. Clayton’s experience managing luxury home construction elevated his skills and vision when building. When not working, Clayton is planning his next international trek.

Christian started working in construction age 15 and worked for different contractors through college while studying historic preservation at the College of Charleston. He honed his project management skills while working for a construction and development company in Charleston, SC. Christian studied Spanish in Colombia and learned computer aided design at a local technical college. When not working, Christian is fixing up his house.
